80 With A New Henry
As stated I am 80 years of age and just purchased a Henry Frontier .22 rifle. I am from Mandeville LA and love target shooting with my 2 sons. I own a Winchester 94 and a Marlin 336 both in 30-30 caliber but wanted a lever gun that would not be so expensive to shoot and one that I could use in an indoor range. After much study I decided on the Henry Frontier because of the good price, quality and excellent warranty.
I have yet to shoot the gun as it is going to be a Christmas present. Saw it because I had to get the FFA registration. I find that I do not see very well with the semi buck horn sights and that is another matter for discussion.
Love the conversations on this site and feel will learn more about setting up this rifle and using it.
Glad to meet ya'll.

Re: 80 With A New Henry
Welcome to the forum. The Frontier and Small Game Carbine are two of my favorite Henrys. I can't see much either with the stock sights so put a receiver peep and front globe on it. Far more accurate but harder to see moving game if that is an issue.
Hi, my name is Gene and I'm a Henryholic from Wisconsin.

Welcome from Wisconsin. I lived in West Monroe for awhile, and really miss Louisiana. Especially at this time of the year (14 F. right now).
There’s a thread here where we add up all the Henry rifles members own. Feel free to add yours to the tally.
