I started working my way thru the NCIS series from the very first Episode... and I have remembered why I liked the series so much. Well written, great characters, and most of the time the plots and actions are right on target... but Season Six Episode 17 they teased us... then let us down. In
"South by Southwest," Gibbs and Dinozzo have to go out into the Desert to locate an Artist who holds the clue to the death of an NCIS agent, and are guided by a Grizzled old Sheriff on horseback. As they are leading the attractive Italian artist out on her horse, the hitman who killed the agent zooms in by Helo to take them out. The Sheriff takes a round and yells to Gibbs to "Get the Henry!" referring to the rifle in the scabbard on his horse that trotted off when he was shot out of his saddle. "She pulls a mite to the right." he tells Gibbs.
I am all excited, can't wait to see the Henry on NCIS. Gibbs pulls the Lever Action out of the scabbard, and there she is in all her Glory! Leaf Peep on the Cheek Piece, Long Octagonal Barrel, and ...

... side loading gate. Sheesh, nice try.
