You know you should have kept it. Looking back... you know why you let it go...
We all have them. The things that slipped from our grasp... (things... not people... that would be a different thread entirely..
Let's hear your losses. I certainly have a few...
Cars
I had a 64-1/2 Mustang... it needed some work, but it wasn't that bad. More work than I could afford as a LCpl in the Corps. Same deal with the 67 Firebird, and the 65 Thunderbird. Of the three, if I could have one back to restore... the T-Bird hands down.
Guns
I had a few that I let friends or my situation convince me to let go of....
- A pair of Colt Pythons with sequential serial numbers... sold when my oldest daughter was born. Crib, stroller, playpen, changing table... all the rest... expensive...
- Series 70 Colt Commander with Stag Grips from Eagle Grips... a buddy whined for a year til I sold it..
- National Match Garand from the CMP ... another buddy whining... shooting competition and needed the rifle...
Really wish I had that Commander back. I had a lot of work done to the gun, and not only was it a looker...
There are a couple others, but... I hope to hear what you guys have to share...
