Found a used gun cabinet

In my travels this last weekend I found a nice gun cabinet in an antique store. It was tagged on the bottom as being made in 1984. Not old or not new but it would serve my needs. The problem was I didn't have any way of bringing it home so I passed on it. Then I got to thinking about it and called them. They would deliver it for $50, not bad considering its over 250 miles. It was delivered yesterday.

Currently it has ten Enfields and a Henry Mares Leg in it.

Your newest cabinet looks very nice, SH. Antique shops are great places to shop.
Glad you thought it through and got it. You're right. The $50 delivery for that distance was reasonable.
BTW, from my view of it, are you sure it is a used cabinet?!?

I like the looks of that wood -- both the color and grain patterns are really sharp-looking.

It does have good wood and doesn't show any use. It was moved with care and arrived undamaged. It was wrapped in a moving blanket, had cardboard taped around it and was strapped to a moving dolly. They loaded it that way on the trailer and just strapped everything down so taking it off just meant wheeling it out.

It is currently the only one with the lights turned on. These may not be the most secure but all my rooms are dead bolted and those lights will help keep the contents dry.
