Short stroke kit?

I was reading an article on the web about the Henry and the author suggested a short stroke kit for the Henry 45/70. I know such kits are available for the cowboy action shooters in the lighter lever guns but 've never heard of one for the big Henry. Has anyone ever found a source for such a mod and/or has anyone had any experience with it?

The only short stroke kit are for I know of fits the 1860 Henry , 1866 and 1873 Winc rifles and there cones in pistol caliber rounds . Stuff like 30/30 and 45-70 short stroke is not a good idea . You need a long stroke for those calibs to drive them home . .

My understanding was that most Henry models could not be short stroked because of their design. One reason they are seldom seen in CASS.

When it come speed and smoothest using a straight wall case like 38 or 45 Colt the elevator/toggle system of the 1860/1866/1873 Winc is king . The elevator / carrier lifts the cartridge up to line up with the bore before pushing into the chamber . A little change is needed to speed up carrier and toggle too shorten stroke .

The bottleneck cartridge like 32-20/38-40/44-40/ 30-30 works super in ramp type system because it chamber is like a funnel and allow the cartridge to make smooth entrance on a angle like in a 92/94 Winc and 1894 Marlin . The new Henry falls into the ramp type system .

Now Browning has a Geared type action in BLR which is a short stroke lever and magazine work like the elevator for smooth entrance of the cartridge into chamber . I hope all this make sense .
