Interesting Tool

I ran across a wire stripper/cutter tool from Crescent, the likes of which, I've never seen before .... I believe it to be a CRESCENT CCP8V Home Hand Tools Pliers Combo ---- https://www.amazon.com/CRESCENT-CCP8V-T ... combo+tool---- as can be seen below, the handles can be manipulated so as to use the wire cutter or the wire stripper .... our daughter works for the company that controls the manufacture and distribution of this and several other major brands of tools .... when she brought home the one shown below I found it to be intriguing

I like it, it looks well made.

its the kind of tool that feels really solid when held in my hand .... I have several other wire strippers that do work but they can't compare with the level of construction

just looked at the tool and can't find a stamp indicating where it was made .... I know Crescent has brought back some of its manufacturing to the US but have no clue about this one

I've been paying much more attention to where things are manufactured of late. If it was a US or Canadian made tool, I'd add it to the huge tool box.

I looked again and there isn't a visible stamp indicating origin .... if I had to bet, I go with China simply because that seems to be where most tools are made

I like the looks of that.
Don't do nearly as much wiring as I used to. The last thing I wired was a new lighting harness for a friend's utility trailer.
Back in my younger days, I spent most of my time working on aircraft electrical systems. Thirteen plus years as an avionicsman.
Quality tools do make any job go a lot smoother.
