California 22lr ammo prices.
Seems like the best I can find for 500 rounds in California is $36.00 (delivered). That's 7¢ per round. Is that the best I can expect?

For a day in, day out price, that's pretty good.

Re: California 22lr ammo prices.
Local prices here in SC. On frequent sale, CCI mini mags are $8 per 100. The Federal 325 packs of plinking ammo are $22. I don't care much for the white and black boxes of the Federal plinking stuff. It shoots fine, but is very dirty. In the last year I have bought plinking stuff at $2.50 per box of 50. It is plentiful enough now, that I can wait until I encounter a good sale price on the ammo I want and pass on high prices, or ammo that doesn't suit. It is available in quantity every day at most stores that sell .22lr. Walmart is still iffy on supply.
There is, I think, humor here which does not translate well from English to sanity. - Sanya

First, m1ckDELTA, Welcome to the Forum from the Show-Me-State!
I don't know if ammo prices are affected by the state it is sold in. For my back pocket, $0.07 is a good price, and if I can buy it for $0.07-->$0.09 per round, I'm good with that. I've noticed recently, though, that a lot of brands are settling in at about $0.10/round.
Nearby the Cabelas I shop at is a Wally-World. It has a pretty good ammo stock available. I happened to bump into a good buy this past October when I found 1000 rounds of Win M-22 40gr CP-RN for $0.05/round. Although I had never used this ammo before, I went ahead and got it at that price. For the most part, my Henry SGC (H001TLP) likes most .22LR ammo, and I very rarely have any FTFs or FTEs. My other .22LR firearm is an O/U derringer, so no .22LR loading problems there whatsoever.
Tough and challenging adventures finding good ammo prices anymore. Good luck on your hunts!

Welcome to the forum. Seven cents a round is okay in my book.
