Barbque RIGS...

Post by BrokenolMarine » Sun Aug 02, 2026 11:26 am

Someone put up a post about it being barbque season. Started making me hungry. Also got me thinking. How about a thread where we see some Barbque Rigs. I'm sure most of you know, it's your Dress Guns and Leather.

Most of us have one. (or Two?)

Mine is a Kimber Tactical Ultra II .45 and Galco Holster, a gift from Miss T.

It was supposed to be my new off duty gun, but my duty gun was a full size Glock 40, so I went with the mid size Glock for off duty. The Kimber became my "Dress" gun. These days, it's my EDC, she's not only pretty, she's also a shooter. Here's 28 rounds into the target.

Let's see um....
You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.

I don't have "leather" since I don't carry. But, I love my Kimber.
So, this is the "desktop" pistol. :)

Thanks for sharing. Love the grips. Which model and caliber?

Kimber Pro Carry II in black, .45 ACP w/ Zebrawood grips. Aluminum frame, full size grip w/ 8 round magazine.
Strangely enough no retailer seems to have in stock. Also comes in Stainless and 2-tone.

Very nice. I like the Kimbers. If I was comfortable selling guns, I would sell off a few of the ones I kept on hand for teaching all these years and add a couple more Kimbers in their places.

I don’t have what I would consider a Bbq rig but I should. I have a nice 1911 Springfield but it’s pretty plain. But I think in a nice dressy holster I could be the belle of the bbq! :D
