Greetings From Oklahoma!

Post by Rampant Colt » Tue Aug 26, 2025 9:37 am

Hello all, my name is Scott from Oklahoma. I sit dead center in the Muskogee Creek Nation reservation.

It’s refreshing to see some “handles” I recognize from another forum which will go unnamed.

My pursuit of collecting firearms began on April 24, 2024, and I’m ashamed to admit that I out kicked my coverage. An inordinate amount of NIB Colt handguns from 1898 to 2024, from .22’s to 10mm’s it is expansive. As far as Colt’s I seem partial to those born between 1950 to 1985.

I do have a very special Ruger, a stainless steel Single Six in .17HMR with a 5 1/2” barrel of which only 117 were produced.

I have an affinity for bespoke London shotguns, namely J. Purdey & Sons, Frederick Beesley, and Holland & Holland (which I am quietly holding my breath for because there is a caveat concerning it).

About a month ago I ordered my first Henry, a H006G. A H004 will be delivered today.

So, I’m happy to be here, and here’s a cup of coffee (my wife made for me with her sublimation printer & press).

Welcome to the Henry Family. Jump right in and post. You'll find this a friendly environment. You won't get hassled here, the Mods don't allow it. Some might pick on you, but in a friendly way, like family. (That's not a fish, that's bait. )
WE are also in Oklahoma, South East of OKC in the hills, outside an actual Ghost Town. We have hay Fields and cows for neighbors. We love it.

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.

Thank you. Lots of Colts get passed down. I’m sure he’ll cherish it when that time comes…hopefully not soon.
