The lights do this every year
Happened last year and now again this year. Before lights show up for Christmas here i would just tap the login tab, and my stuff pops up and i hit it and i get in... as soon as lights at top of screen show up for the holidays, (i love popping those things) i can hit the login tab all night and nothing happens... but if I go to "start a thread" then it will ask for my password and stuff and let me in.... not a huge deal... just one more step to get in... and it will probably go back to "normal " once the lights leave in january... just odd it occurs....

I login from the 'Unread' Quick Link (from a saved url short cut). I have no issue either.

I click the "remember me", or is it "keep me logged in" box when I first login, and never have to login unless I change computers or the cookies get erased for some reason.

Although not really a security risk with this Henry Forum website, using 'remember me' and 'keep me logged in' can be an ID theft risk. Particularly if used on banking sites, online purchasing, retirement accts, etc. Third party cookie harvesting can expose your personal information. Me, I have the browsers I use set to purge cookies and history on browser exit.clovishound wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2024 4:18 pmI click the "remember me", or is it "keep me logged in" box when I first login, and never have to login unless I change computers or the cookies get erased for some reason.

Re: The lights do this every year
I had this happen to me on mobile. I go to a thread and hit post, that brings up the login screen.
Re: The lights do this every year
Here's another cyber-mystery.
On some days I notice that the snowflakes move towards the side of the screen where my cursor is, but on other days, today for example, they move to the side opposite my cursor. Scroll up to the big blue rectangle at the top for better visibility on those little white drifters.
Hmmmmmmmm........

I don't have these features enabled so I don't see them. But if I remember correctly, the snow blowing direction depends on whether you are logged in or not.
