LRPs and LRMPs Found Their Way Home
Reloading has been my crack for a long time LRPs and LRMPs are like hen's teeth, and they are getting more and more scarce. So, when I see them regardless of stock, I buy them. My supplier always sets 2K of each aside when he gets them in paid 90 bucks each with no HAZMAT charge.

Nice Score.
I saw some of the MLRP Fri. but I very seldom use those and have around 1100 on hand.
Now had i saw the reg. LRP's at $90 I'd of bought at least one maybe two of those.

I have a 45/70, 30/30 and generally use LRPs. My .500 S&W magnum loads use LRMPs when I use Hodgdon powders and LRP for other powders. Current stock for both the LRPs and LRMPs is over 5K for each. I was caught short once bur never again.

Luckily I haven't been caught short on primers so far.Handloader wrote: ↑Sun May 05, 2024 12:34 pmI have a 45/70, 30/30 and generally use LRPs. I currently have between 4 & 5000 each of the 4 main ones I use, with a little over the 5 Mark on the SPP's at the moment.

Yes, anything under $100/1000 is probably the new normal.

Re: LRPs and LRMPs Found Their Way Home
I made my usual gun shop run Fri., which was my first time this year.
Two of which sell loading supplies had primers just no LRP, except the one with the MLRP.
At one place they were $119. per K and the other doesn't have their's marked and were busy so I didn't inquire.
But, I'm not in a great need at the moment anyway.
Local Academy has had mostly SPP and SRP when I've stopped in, they run $8.99 a hundred and they will only sell you 400 per day.
They were $7.99 just a couple mons. back.

Re: LRPs and LRMPs Found Their Way Home
A couple weeks ago my supplier (which is a longtime friend) emailed me that he just received some SPPs for $78.00 per 1K. I use them for my 99mm, and 40 S&W and I had him ship me 3K. At least they are easy to find unlike the LRPs/LRMPs.
