Ware Mark in Goldenboy

Post by Wabash kid » Mon Aug 14, 2023 11:57 am

I’ve been shooting my Goldenboy a lot this yr, and noticed this ware mark inside near where it feeds the bullets. I emailed this pic to Henry 7 days ago asking if it’s just a ware mark or something I should be concerned about, but never heard back from them. So any of you that have Goldenboys that have been shot a lot, what do you think?

I have had my Golden Boy since 2001 and it has had quite a few rounds through it. Mine looks just like yours and my more recently purchased H001 Carbine also looks the same. I think it is machined that way to guide the rim of the case into position. I don't think it is a wear mark.
