An Egg-lette?

Post by BrokenolMarine » Fri Aug 11, 2023 12:05 pm

Tina came in this morning and said another Hen was laying. She has a dozen new ones just coming of age. Then she added, "Sorta."
This is the Egg (Lette) she showed me. It's laying in the cap from a half gallon of milk.

She has kept chickens for years, first in VA and now here. They are always entertaining.

She has gotten a half dozen or so small ones in the past couple weeks as the new hens have started to lay, but that's the smallest actual egg she has seen, and when she cracked it open yesterday, it WAS an actual egg. :)
