Liking that BE-86 for 45 ACP !

Was down at my range this morning to cut the grass while it was still relatively cool and brought along my HiPoint Bullpup 45 carbine to try out my new
load using BE-86 powder. 230 gr Xtreme plated bullet over 6.3 gr BE-86 and really liked the performance of it being like my 6.0 gr of Unique!
Setup the target at about 18 yds right after cutting the grass so a bit hot and tired. First 7 or so shots were widely spaced with a couple in a tight group well above the red zone where I was aiming from standing position and that spongey trigger feel don't help much.

Hitting a bit high I made a sight adjust and then got down on one knee to steady the shots. This time 6 shots fired in top of red zone with a nice ragged slot where 4 rounds hit. Not bad at all and will load more 45 ACP with BE-86!

I normally use Unique for my 45 ACP loads and closest shop that has Unique in stock is an 80 mile round trip. BE-86 powder is at my LGS just 1.5 mile down the road and a bit cheaper at 40 bucks for 1 lb. So will pick up more of that while it is in stock and save the Unique.

I've found it to be a good powder for blue bullets 200grn swc.

Yes, it seems to have done well.

I have used it in 45LC 250 gr bullets with good results.
