Uberti 94

Post by leverjc » Wed Apr 05, 2023 1:58 pm

Went to the range yesterday to play with a couple levers. I removed the scope from my .357 Big Boy and put the peep sights back on. The gun was shooting way low so I just brought it home to file a few hundredths off the front blade. I had been trying different loads in the Uberti and was sighting it in for a load it likes, 150grn Beery's over 28grns of W748. The Uberti has a 26" barrel and with the tang sight it gives a 34" sight radius, even with my old eyes good groups are possible.

50yds off the bench I had two great two shot groups while sighting in.

Not great off hand at the pig though but not too bad.

Is the Uberti a .357 also? Sounds like a nice looking rifle.

The Uberti is a 30-30, wanted a 38-55 but I am glad to have this one.

Cool rifle I'm sure, I kinda stumbled into a 38-55 Marlin a few years back.
Really wish I had of realized what a cool cal. they are, before then.
I'd probably have a few more of them. ;)

Went to the Uberti site and found it. 30-30 or 38-55. Beautiful rifle. And appears to be a good shooter.
Yeah, 748 should have tipped me off. :o
