Same powder for both 30-30 and 35 Remington?
Same powder for both 30-30 and 35 Remington?
I will soon have dies for 30-30 and 35 Remington. I'm wondering, are there any do-it-all powders that would be good for both calibers?

LEVERevolution would be a good powder for both. Lower pressure and higher velocity with a clean burn. 3031 works well for me in both but meters in powder measures bad because of the long skinny kernels. H4895 is very versatile and works in many calibers from the 222 Remington up to the 30/06. Meters better than 3031. H335 is a spherical powder and flows like water in a powder measure. Gives good velocity and accuracy but may need a magnum primer in the cold weather. RL 12 and 15 may cover both pretty well. There is quite a few more but one of these will work well but I maybe would try LEVERevolution first.

That was 1 reason I chose a 44 magnum. The powder I use [H110] for DW Super Mags can be used in all.
And it's a HANDFULL in the Henry

Got some 3031. Seems to be the safest bet.

33.0 gr of 748 under a hornady 170 gr fp with a cci 200 primer works good out of my 30-30's. Don't know about the 35 Remington but when in doubt 3031 and varget work good too.

I forgot to add that the 748 load shoots to the same spot as the Remington corelokt 170 gr. factory load
