My Henry Quest Is Now Complete!

Post by tcpip95 » Mon Mar 14, 2022 6:56 pm

Shortly before Christmas of 2021 I purchased my first Henry; is was the Classic (H024) 45-70 in brass. I love it. Had some customization work done on it (muzzle brake, front sight moved), installed a Skinner Express sight, and put a Leupold VX-5HD 1-5x24 Firedot scope on it.

Then I decided I wanted another Henry, this time the Big Boy in .44 Magnum with the brass receiver. No scope on this, just the Skinner Express peep sight on it. It shoots great.

Now to complete my Quest I just ordered the Henry Golden Boy (H004) 22LR. I spent a lot of money putting the kids through college; now it's Dad's turn. I don't foresee myself buying any more as that pretty much rounds out my collection. They're beautiful rifles that function great.

Good selection. Enjoy them.

I'd say that's a good collection right there. I don't have a 45-70, but I have the Big Boy .44 magnum and a Golden Boy. Both are certainly keepers. Where I live and hunt I have no need / use for a 45 / 70. If I did, you know I would have all three that you will soon have.

Congratulations on some very nice Henry rifles.

Good way to start a Henry collection but history shows those famous last words don't seem to stick around this place!

Brass isn't the only flavored rifles Henry has to offer. Now that you have your brass three some time to start another. They also make sweet steel models. Perhaps a Frontier 22lr, a Big Boy steel in 357magnum and a steel 30-30. Anything is possible.

It’s a disease and I caught it also. Not sure what my next one will be but I’m thinking about a few.

No, I gotta stop here. I’ve moved on to a couple of Colt 1911s that I’m having custom engraved. To finance this I’ve sold off one hunting rifle, one pistol, and two more pistols are on GB selling right now. I’ll probably put a revolver up for sale as well. This little project is gonna leave a mark on the ol’ wallet.

The Henry’s are gonna stay though.
