Uberti 94

Post by leverjc » Thu Feb 17, 2022 4:16 pm

I dropped into a local pawn shop and there on the rack was a Uberti 94 in 30-30 with a 26" octagon barrel. I wanted one in 38-55 but it is so nice I had to take it home with me. I was happy to see that it was hitting the target with the sights where the factory set them. After shooting some clay birds and other targets of opportunity I headed to the bench. With speer 130grn hc's over a hot load of cfe223 the rifle was right on at 50yds and with 170 loads shot a little high and left. With the open sights I was able to shoot both groups that measured 1 1/8" wide and less than an inch vertically. I love how that long heavy barrel just settles down on the target off hand, hitting targets even with a stiff wind was relatively easy.

Looks to be a good shooter. Let's see a picture of that '94.

Ubertis are great guns. I hope this doesnt end your quest for a 38-55. Thats one great caliber and very easy on the shoulder to shoot. I love mine. I have a Henry and a Marlin Cowboy

Nice shooting, congrats.
Like Tom says, what about a pic of the bad boy.
Have to agree with Al on the 38-55, picked up a Cowboy myself last Summer. Very enjoyable, wish I would have discovered them way back.
