Your Favorite Food Comes from What Country?

Post by Koyote » Thu Feb 18, 2021 8:42 pm

Just remember most foods made here (U.S.) originally came from some other country!

Mexican for me. A burrito grande is stuffed with beef, onions, green chiles, rice, beans, guacamole, sour cream, spices and however else one would like to put into it. Biting into it releases a multitude of different flavors into one's mouth!

What's your fave and where does it come from?

Not much ethnic food I won't at least try. Favorite - most Mexican, Sushi- so Japanese, Chinese and just about any pasta dish and Pizza- so Italian.

My heritage on my mom's side is Scandinavian, at Christmas family get togethers we'd always have Lefsa, which I liked and Lutefisk which I wouldn't even try.

Definitely Mexican. Chile relleno accompanied by a cheese enchilada and rice and beans, and I”m in heaven.

Not sure if I have a favorite food. I like almost everything.
Well, I am partial to pork ribs over rinsed sour kraut. I grew up in a German community.
But, I also like beef steak and fried chicken. And then of course all kinds of sea food.
Then there's Chili and beef stew and Mexican and...................

Buffalo Steak tomahawk style smoked. Kids gave us one for Christmas and I smoked it on our smoker grill at home. It was a huge steak and we got 2 meals off of it. But it was the best steak I have ever had. I eat a lot of buffalo and love it.

Local meat market owner here raises buffalo and sells from his store, we eat buffalo from his store regularly.

I’m not sure of the origin of the beef cow but that would be the place my favorite food comes from. Best meal is a New York steak.

BEEF, it’s what’s for dinner! :D

Sushi...so Japan. If I could get my hands on a wagyu steak, I'm sure that would rate right up there as well.
I also love most all seafood, especially shell fish, so, the preparation would determine its ethnicity.

Me I like it all (and I look like it😁) Give me a hunk of pork, ribs, shoulder, belly and my smoker. A good rib eye or fillet, chicken, turkey all great cooked outside. Inside: Italian, oriental, Polish (I make my own kielbasa), Russian, French..... I like and cook it all
I love my country but I fear my government
