The wife, the oldest Granddaughter, and myself are scheduled for Thursday afternoon. My wife got us on the waiting list the first day it was available for our county. Got the e-mail yesterday to await the phone call to confirm our appointment. The lady was very nice and when she realized that we all lived in the same house she got us scheduled for the same time.
Good luck on your vax. Stay Healthy til then.

Not much luck around here. The CVS pharmacy chain is supposed to start giving shots next week and we are on a list for the area Health District.
No rush to get one.

I, my wife, and my son are not taking that vaccine. Our doctors have told us not to take the vaccine. I trust our doctors more than I trust the government! ;)

My wife I just got our first shot yesterday Feb 8. Second shot is scheduled for Mar. 9. We worked through our doctors office and a phone number they provided. It took two days of constant calling to get a live person. We were on the state health department list, but I have no confidence in anything the state manages.

Rugrat, what was the reason he gave to not have the vaccine?

Have managed to stay healthy since this all started. Not gonna rush it. Will continue safe practices and see what time tells us about the vaccines in the long term.

My Wife refuses also. Hers is a objection on the grounds that it is made with aborted fetus material.
Was at my Doctor yesterday and asked about it. He is Catholic and has already gotten the shot. My Surgeon
at the Mayo Clinic had already gotten his shot three weeks ago. I kinda trust them.
My Doc said the Pfizer shot is not made of any fetus material and that the Pope has already gotten his and
sanctioned the shot OK. Not that I trust him all that much, but I do listen to my Doctors.

Course you know she read all about that on the internet so it must be true.

The vaccine is not made from aborted fetus material. Remember some abortions are done to protect the mothers health.
No, the COVID-19 vaccines do not contain any aborted fetal cells. However, Pfizer and Moderna did perform confirmation tests (to ensure the vaccines work) using fetal cell lines.
But it's important to have the full context: Fetal cell lines are not the same as fetal tissue. Fetal cell lines are cells that grow in a laboratory. They descend from cells taken from elective abortions in the 1970s and 1980s. Those individual cells from the 1970s and 1980s have since multiplied into many new cells over the past four or five decades, creating fetal cell lines. Current fetal cell lines are thousands of generations removed from the original fetal tissue.

Same with a flu shot. If it’s your thing go for it. We don’t and won’t.

I'm with Grunt here. Zero issues, get 2nd shot on 2/20. Never gave it a second thought. I know five friends who got that crap and I don't want it.

I got a flu shot. But even if you get one of those it doesnt guarantee that you wont get the flu.

There are no guarantees in life my friend. You just have to have faith and plenty of ammo. :D

I'm 80 and I'd rather not chance getting Covid if I can help it. It would probably end me.
