Our Morning Coffee and Weather

Another double H day today but I got a jump on it this morning, Got up early and loaded up the Kubota, walked the dog, quick breakfest and I was 30 miles South at the range by 8:30 AM. Was a bit foggy which kept the sun from blasting thru and a humid 73 degrees but got the grass all cut.
Back home and unloaded by 11:00 AM.

78, hum. 91 , storms, rain. Gonna be an all day event. Reckon the chainsaw will get a rest.

Morning, got a little rain coming down at the moment.
Finally finished up this big job we've been working on, off and on the past few weeks yesterday.
Had to get a lift for one of the gable ends. Probably 40 to 45 feet up.

Never flown before, but I've been higher.
The way that end of the house is built, there just wasn't much of a way to get any ladders set up
Heck that was quicker also.

69° rain and humid. It hasn't stopped raining for at least 4 days. Im talking heavy rain and thunderstorms. I'm real tired of it. The grass is so high it's going to be hard to mow when and if the rain ever stops. 1st cup of coffee down, then the power went out before we could start breakfast. As soon as I lit the stove top manually the power came back on.
I haven't been feeling well. 2 days ago I had the right side teeth deep scaled. 12 injections. Yesterday I had a nerve block on the side of my face, where your sideburns would start for facial and ear pain. Then I must have had a reaction, because I was in bad shape all day and night. Better now. I hope today is better. Cheers

sausage, eggs, sliced local tomato, and Folgers were a nice start on this truly gorgeous morning in east central South Dakota .... 60 overnight, 65 as this is being typed on its way to 82 later today .... next to no chance of rain until well after dark when the prediction jumps to 40% ....

I remember my last day working. They had refused to bid the opening my leaving would cause, so there was no one to releave me. I was in charge of the place from 6 AM until noon when someone finally came in. Then my team rustled up a cake and called my wife to come in. We had cake and coffee in the conference room and then I turned in my ID and we walked out of the building together.
I guess they didn't want me to retire. We drive by the building almost everyday but have never gone back in to visit.

Beautiful morning here. Sixties and clear sky.

Spokane is supposed to hit a record or possible tie the previous with a forecasted temp of 103. My place which is about 15 miles north and rural (read no concrete and asphalt parking lots and buildings to soak up heat) will be 5 or so degrees cooler. My poor Golden Retriever who is still wearing his heavy coat is miserable. Fortunately he goes to the groomers here in a few for a bath and a trim. That should make him a bit happier. He’s 10 and is really slowing down, a sad day is coming.......

On a happy note, the Folgers is hot and plentiful. After dropping my dog off I’m running thru a local burger joint’s drive thru. They make the best breakfast sandwich ever, all fresh ingredients, no McDonalds processed fake food here. They even grill the bun with butter!!!!!

Congrats on retirement BigAl. Missed the morning altogether as I got busy early. Rode the new Harley down to the dealer's to pick up the tag and dispose of the temp tag. Had to play "dodge car" once as one moved over into my lane without signaling.......got to always be defensive when riding. Luckily I saw what was happening soon enough. It's afternoon, but currently 91° and more rain coming this evening.

84 now, hum 77, HI 93. Severe thunder storm warnings to the South. Looks blacker than the bottom of a stove lid. Thunder rumbling all day. No rain.....yet.

61° on the mountain with dense fog. Big storm passed through last night. 1st cup of coffee down, and getting ready for breakfast, then to the veterinarian at 0830.

Well July here in Va. set new record for hottest so far with over 20 days of 90+ temps. Hoping for a cooler August!
