Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
60° and cloudy on the mountain. Just finished my 1st cup of dark roast coffee, dogs in my lap, and watching the news.
Had fun shooting with my Boy yesterday, then I string trimmed a very steep and Knarly hill behind my house. Not sure how many more times I can do this. My knees and hands are screaming this morning. Anyway, no plans today that include any type of work. I might do some more shooting, and of course some Ham radio time. Cheers

Right now 64 and sunny, a high of 84 expected. Had so much fun shooting my EDC yesterday I think I just might head out to range with my single actions today and have more fun.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Well the way I see it is,
I could buy a Henry, around $400 or so for a plain one.
Five years from now it will be worth less.
Or I can buy a used Marlin 39 for say $500-$600.
Five years from now it will still be worth what I paid for it, and most likely More.
There for I choose the Marlin.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
59° and rain on the mountain. I'm sick of the rain. At least I was able to shoot yesterday.
1st cup of dark roast coffee is helping me wake up, and the camp cook is making breakfast. Speaking of camping, do you guys remember the tin mugs, or the porcelain over metal mugs we used while camping? My Dad used to call them 3 n 1 cups, because they would burn your fingers , mouth , and lips at the same time. Lol! Chrers

53° and Sunny on the mountain. Finally np rain in the forecast, just in time for me to get on my mower to cut the pesky 1.5 acres.
1st cup of coffee down, and ready for another. It's. My turn to cook, so gotta go.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
heavy rain late yesterday with plenty of lightening over night .... it appears that most of last night's storms went just south of us .... 68 on its way to 83 later today with only a 15% chance of rain .... my executive chef outdid herself this morning ..
.. western omelet, sliced tomato, toast, orange marmalade, bacon and Folgers .... after all that, my ambition to get out and about has been temporarily lowered ..

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Gloomy and hot today. That storm you had yesterday JE is petering out over us now. Don't really need any more rain right now.
Coffee and home made banana bread this morning.
Yesterday we had two electricians come in and replace our main breaker box in the house. It was old and no longer big enough.
No electric for most of the day.
