That looks to be a pretty extensive remodel of the master bath.

More holes today. They have to put some type of concrete barrier on the ceiling because of the in closed steam shower that is being installed. Regular Sheetrock and or green rock won’t keep the moisture contained. Then it will be tiled too.

Master bathroom steam shower is coming along. After the inspection tomorrow they will start with the tile and stone work.

The wood flooring showed up today. It has to acclimatize for the weekend. Doing the stairs and upstairs landing along with the master bedroom. We got a pretty close match to the existing flooring that is discontinued.

Then a new hand rail system.

Even though it seems fast, we are entering month 3.

Friday update-we are starting to come down the homestretch. The last few days have been painting.

Monday we are starting the stairs with stained oak treads and the flooring for the landing area and the master bedroom. We put engineered wood flooring in downstairs about 10 years ago when our budget was tight. It has been discontinued but we found a great match with new wood flooring. It’s pretty much a perfect match.

I’m tired of having workers in the house…

The custom glass for the steam shower is 2-3 weeks out at this point. They laser measured it yesterday. It basically has to be almost air tight for the steam.

We are at the mercy of the glass factory at this juncture.
