short day's drive that should take us home slated for today .... we should take us something over 5 hours to cover a bit over 250 miles with a fuel stop .... next issue to consider is where we will park when we get home .... heavy rain for the last few months has left our normal parking area soft and muddy .... I'm told that finding solid ground within the reach of our 50 amp cord may take some doing .... after three months of being on our own, we are returning to a lifestyle over which we have limited control .... we've been told that tonight we will attend our 5 year old grandson's first T-ball practice .... a call should come sometime today telling us where to go and when to be there for our first Covid shots .... tomorrow morning we visit our local FFL to pick up a Bond derringer .... Monday morning we take Maureen's Camaro in for service and its yearly safety inspection ..... our old Buick has to be scheduled to have its thermostat replaced .... etc, etc, etc

I just realized I haven’t used my trailer in more than a year. Damn Covid19.

Teardrops are great but not for everyone. People ask me about it all the time when I’m traveling. It can be parked next to a million dollar coach and it’s my trailer people want to see.

I’ll be making a separate post. I made some registrations at parks thanks to this thread getting me thinking about camping.

UPDATE :

we've now used our i10 TireMinder system for something over 4,000 miles .... thankfully, there hasn't been an occasion to test it under emergency conditions .... it has performed flawlessly .... it has alerted us of pressure build ups, all of which were caused by changes in the outside air temp when they were filled and their pressure was set .... I still have to keep a manual in the truck's console but am happy to say I don't have to refer to it as often .. ;)

Jim
Just curious. When you leave home how much air pressure are you putting in your tires and what are they rated for as far as pressure goes. Do you fill them to max? I personally have never had to stop and let air out of my tires because they had to much air in them.

Ok so at what point are you letting air out because your tire systems is not liking it

Under inflated, or over can cause big problems. I have personally experienced the explosion, on two or three occasions when one literally blows up.

Every tire has a min and max pressure stamped on it. If a tire is over inflated past its max said pressure on the side of the tire sure it can cause a blow out due to expansion after it goes down the road. My tires on the trailer are max 110lbs cold. I fill them to about 105. Ive watched them on hot days get to 120 to 125. Thats not excessive and manufactures know that they are going to expand some. Just curious where Jim is letting air out.
