I'd love to see them scrap the restrictor plates and approach the problem through gearing .... they could require transmission/rear end gears that would drastically increase engine rpms to the point that the crews would have to really become innovative so as to make their motors last .... but, nobody asked what I'd recommend ..

Limit their gas during a race so that they can't run full throttle 100% of the time.

that would certainly promote developments in increasing the efficiency of the fuel burned

Seems to me everytime I saw an interview with one of the drivers when the restrictor plates were take away they all were against it not only for there own personal choice but for the sport also. Im not a fan of this pack racing if one guy cant drive he takes many others out with him. Al
