Our Morning Coffee and Weather

Lots of similar weather happens in our Pacific Northwest --- often overcast & rainy. I lived there several years. Right now I'd trade my location for the wet and cooler Willamette Valley in OR, or even Runcorn! I don't think I'll watch our weather reports for the next 10 days or so. Last night they reported an oppressive heat index about 60 miles north of KCMO --- 102*.
More of the same today.

I'm ready for fall.

It's another dull and overcast day here in Runcorn. It must be the most miserable place on earth!

6AM yet another heavy thunderstorm is passing through where we are camped in Estelline, SD .... thankfully, its not as strong as the one yesterday morning .... no power outage, no hail .... heavy rain, rolling thunder, sharp lightening .... per AccuWeather, once this band moves through we should be in the clear until late afternoon .... coffee in a Henry mug, good way to start the day

Been off since last Wednesday as my sister came for a visit. I will hate to see her go as always. We had a great time hiking and spending time together. Back to work tomorrow and that will be hard. Got reply from Anthony this am as I sent him a thank you for getting the 45-70 shipped so I could purchase one. Big hail balls north of here yesterday and damaging winds. Weather looks nice now for the next 10 days. Im already looking forward to the weekend again. Time off is a priority anymore.

I've been making the most of a warm, dry day to get myself into "lawnmower mode". I've mowed two clubs, and my own place, so now it's time for a well earned cup of tea!

Oh, and it's 75° and mostly overcast, with the sun taking an occasional peek through the clouds.

Hurrah, some relief this morning. Temp is cooler at just under 80 degrees. Humidity has decreased somewhat, but don't know if it will move out of our area. Earlier today there was a strong, but brief, rain shower. Probably not enough to restore the burnt grass, but the birds had a blast in the parking lot puddles.

It's a nice bright start to the day over here, with temps due to go up to around 63°. It sounds like a good day to do a bit of gardening .... I'll try not to fall asleep on the sun lounger!

spooky calm (no wind) this morning where we are camped in east central South Dakota .... clear sky, headed to 84 .... in short a beautiful day in the neighborhood ..

Temps have been in the mid 50's and it poured most of the day. At least it waited for me to get back from my hike.

It's overcast and 62°, with rain appearing later on, and I'm just about to leave for a few hours of practice at the indoor range. Just about a perfect Friday, really!

Coffee in the scout jamboree mug this morning then off to work.
