Yeah, I hit the big 65 a couple of weeks ago. I figure it’s my last “milestone” birthday, Medicare……my insurance cost went from $20 per month for retirees medical to nearly $200 per month for Medicare. Oh well, I guess it’s better than the $700 + some folks are paying for insurance.

Happy belated moeturhead, and your avatar shows up fine for me.

60, but I "usually" feel like 40! LOL I am surprised that there aren't younger people on here. Maybe, it's just those of us that grew up watching all those TV and movie westerns that can really appreciate the lever!

Here’s another neat thing some of us had: a CB radio. If you used one, what was your ‘handle’?

Mine was the “Red Barron”……since my ancestors were German, and I was Pilot in the Air Force.

Mine was " Bulls Eye ", because I lived in the Chicago area and was a huge Chicago Bulls fan. Michael Jordan was awesome.
Also because I was an avid dart thrower and...well, I think that speaks for itself.
I had a Cobra 148 GTL with upper and lower sideband. It was fun!

Damn, going back here. "Hot Shot" was the handle. Had a Cobra[?] 300 watt booster, power amp, heck, I forget all the details now. But, out in the desert, man, could I get out. All got stolen while out to dinner one night, and that was that. Now, keyboard warrior.

Mine was Green Hornet but I sure can’t remember what radio I had. Just a mobile unit in my pickup. Lots of fun back in the day.
