Well, I sized, expanded and primed another 100 45 colts.
Then loaded 30 of the 265's over forty's mentioned load of Unique.
Rained most of the day, I'll report when I get time to try 'em.

Built a small 3'x2' bench this past weekend in the tool room on back of garage . first reloads since arriving in South Carolina. Decided to dust off the lee loader and put together a half dozen 38 special 158 Lead RNFP plinkers. I enjoyed the slow lee loader and listening to the radio, Buster lifted his leg on the bench Support giving his approval

Re: What did you do at your reloading bench today?
I haven't been loading much lately, but today I found some brand new Winchester brass .357 unprimed casings that
I've been saving for something, so I primed them up. I plan to load them with 158 grn Keith Hunter lead target bullets
and am considering how much powder to load in them. I have lots of Unique left over from the old days and want to use
it up.
I have loaded then as high as 8grns of Unique, but that rattles my cage in my Colt Trooper III so I want to load then down
to something fun to shoot. I'm thinking about 6grns. I want to be able to shoot them in both my Trooper III and my Henry
Yellow Boy .357 Mag.
Maybe I'll load several varying loads and experiment.
Thoughts?

I gotcha there, my Unique still says "Hercules" on the bottle, or can, whatever.Vaquero wrote: ↑Tue Dec 06, 2022 11:49 amI have backup.this has been sitting at the side of the bench for like 4 yrs. now.
Glad I got it back then, $20 per lb.![]()
Now I wish I had bought more.
So I poured a lb or so in the smaller bottle and am ready to go. May be a little dust on the bottle...as the song says.

Nothing. A lot of honey-do stuff for Christmas has taken priority.

I deprimed about 800 to 1000 38 spl cases, and nearly 500 9mm cases.. I have 500 primed sig 45 acp cases on the way along with a good deal of blue bullets for various calibers.
Re: What did you do at your reloading bench today?
Well, back at the bench and over-did it. I prepped loads of cases for .243, .44, 7mm-08 and .308, and gave myself "tennis elbow". In this case, "press elbow". Case prep is the unspoken dirty work of reloading. There should be medical treatment literature on the subject other than a couple of ounces of single malt.
Fortunately, it doesn't affect touching off the finished rounds at the range!

Cleaned a 357magnum revolver tonight at the bench. No ammo but routine cleaning, My wife has a very acute olfactory system, migraines are easily triggered. Can not clean at the kitchen table with most cleaners including Hoopes #9.
