The ground was mostly bare yesterday. If averaged out only about six inches remained. That changed overnight and most of the ground is covered again with an inch. The forecast is for about two feet in the next week but I have my doubts. Currently 28F and heading to below zero.

I’m not going to mention the wind.

It’’s windday here too. At lease the beginning of our forecast wind. We’re looking at sustained winds of 40-50 with gusts to 65+. Coming in tonight and peaking around 5:00 am tomorrow. I’m sure I’ll wake up to no power. Nice to have such a great warning in order to be prepared.

Currently 33 heading to around 40. But wait, the forecast for next Tuesday is 64. Yes! But between now and then we are looking at lots of rain and the aforementioned wind.

My wife had her right eye cataract surgery yesterday and it went very well according to the surgeon. I was able to watch on a monitor and that was real interesting. In addition to the cataract removal he placed two stints in her eye to help relieve pressure from mild the glaucoma she was also diagnosed with. We go back today for a follow up and next week she get’s her left eye done.

43 this morning with a strong but declining wind blowing. Peak gust here at the Deer Park airport was 58 mph and at the big Spokane airport the peak gust was 64. About 55k folks in the area without power but here at the hatchdog ranch we are brightly lit. Too dark to check for damage but no nearby trees down that I can see with the yard lights.

Mrs hatchdog had her eye surgery follow up visit yesterday and all is good. She’s amazed at how what she thought was white like a sheet of paper was really more beige. With one eye fixed and the other still with a cataract she can do an instant comparison.

19F and sunny. By 7 pm they are saying we might start getting what may be a foot of snow. I have my doubts as they get it wrong more than right.

32 and snowing. We got a good 8” last night and will get 4 more today and tomorrow. Then on Sunday the forecast is 23-28”. That should be fun. I didn’t want to go anywhere except I had an oil change scheduled on the van. To my surprise the roads were good this morning

33 with a wet heavy snow falling. Looks like around 4” so far, might have to use the snowblower for the first time this season. Might even put the blade on the Ranger and plow my neighbor’s place. The dirty dog is in California enjoying sun and warm.

But wait….next Wednesday my golf buddies and I have our first round scheduled. Forecast is for sunny skies and 64. Take that Mr. Winter.

8” of snow and winds 20-40 mph. I barely made it up my hill. The gang leaves 9 am tomorrow for another basketball game. It’s going to be a two-hour-white-knuckle drive.
