I've been working around the property. What little loading I've done is to wrap up some 9mm, and 45 colt loads I worked up. I did start loading some 357 mag yesterday.
I chose to go with a new powder, even though I've got plenty of Clean-shot and some loadings for it in 357 mag. These loads are using IMR 4227, which seems to meter well out of my RCBS charge master supreme.
Some speer 125's

Speer 158 grn jhp

extreme plated

Matt's 155 lsw loaded to about 950 fps with the 4227 handgun load versus the rifle table.

Matt's 165 .358 gas checked

Matts 165 .359 gas checked

Hornaday 180 gr xtp

Found a load the Long Ranger likes so I figure I better feed it. Seems pretty accurate hopefully it gets even better when I get the barrel shot in. Only have 30 through it so far.

How about some Christmas bullets.
200 gr 35 Rem. over 34.0 grs. 3031.
Both Marlins love this load.

Oh boy, now I’m hearing that Christmas song “Carol of the Bullets” in my head.

Re: What did you do at your reloading bench today?
Well I am about to load some of these 265 gr. WFNGC that forty was talking about last week.
And well there was only enough powder to load a couple rounds.
but never fear.
I have backup.
this has been sitting at the side of the bench for like 4 yrs. now.
Glad I got it back then, $20 per lb.
Now I wish I had bought more.
So I poured a lb or so in the smaller bottle and am ready to go. May be a little dust on the bottle...as the song says.

Well, I got 86 sized, expanded, and primed. Emptied that primer flat.
Break for lunch, then may go for a little walk in da woods.
Rain has stopped for now so we'll see.

Yes, I am planning on loading a couple dozen to try in the two rifles and the Rugers.
I will post a report.
