Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
When I was young and we bailed hay we always had cold beer to temper the heat. (It had to be hot or we wouldn't bail.)
Anyway I miss the old beers that were a little bitter. Glueks, Stite, ect. Can't get the real thing anymore.
We were at the refreshment store yesterday and they had Shell's Deer Brand, Pre Prohibition Lager. Got a twelve pack.
Dinner last night was my home made vegetable beef stew and a grilled cheese and tomato sandwich with a cold mug
of Shells.
Happy, happy happy.

Al, I really like the Negro Modelo's.
I had a couple B&T's last night, then a double 46 and off to bed.

Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
Drove the twenty minutes of rural roads last night to our favorite Supper Club. Not cheap, but always good food.
I had a nice garden salad with blue cheese, grilled salmon, and whipped squash with brown sugar.
Carol had a salad with ranch dressing and grilled scallops with a baked potato.
All this along with a relish tray which I love, and Garlic Toast which is warm and dripping butter.
But the best part was I enjoyed a Tanquira a Martini on the rocks while Carol sipped a nice wine.
The unique thing about this is we almost lost this place due to Covid. What we all did was order carry out every week
While they were locked down to keep them afloat. Now we are reaping the fruit of our efforts.
They are grateful and show how they feel in the way we are treated. Good food and good friends are sometimes hard to find.

Have not been to a sit down eatery in a long time. We have been supporting the locals as well by ordering a lot of carry out food.
Question is; are they set up safely inside? Distancing and such? Mask upon entering?

Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
Yes they are. The establishment has banquet rooms that are only used occasionally, and using these they have spread folks out throughout the place.markiver54 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 11:39 amCoop,

They disinfect each menu booth and table after every use. All employees are masked as are all patrons until they are seated at their table or booth.
I have no worrys going there.

Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
Thanks Coop. Carol and I have both been wanting to go dine the way we enjoy it.
Maybe we'll break down and give it a try soon.
Appreciate the report! ☺
