Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Good morning, oh my it's a nice 56° outside, with 92% humidity and a 2 mph breeze. Predicted high of only 80, but my guess it'll be a bit warmer, but will be a great day to be outside.

Hey Coop, hopefully the Doc’s grim look was just disappointment at not getting the results from the first test (s). Best wishes.
Hey BigAl, sorry to hear your wife thinks you’re heartless….
Tell her we don’t agree.
57 and partially overcast today with a high in the 70’s. Groovy, liking that. One hot day this week is all with all other days in the moderate range temp wise. Staying on the cool side for our trip to the lake next week. Sure glad we postponed from a coupled of weeks ago, we should see a 20 degree difference in the highs next week.
Today starts preps for the trip.

Rainy morning with a low of 66: expected high today is 84; currently 67. Not much going on today, visit with son in Denmark, it’s his birthday, we celebrated it earlier when they were here this month. Everyone have a great day!

Woke up to 58 and sunny skies. Today is supposed to be the last hot day for a while with temps in the upper 80’s. Starting tomorrow temps are supposed to stay in the 70’s thru next week. Plus there’s a chance of light rain for the next three days. Nothing substantial but we’ll take what we can get. Saturday is the charity Sporting Clays shoot and usually it’s hot and dusty for the event. Wow, 70’s and maybe a little light rain will be nice.

61 with a red fireball sun rising. Today this area has a wind-blowing dust warning with winds 25 - 30 and gusts from 35 - 50. Add the forecast of possible thunderstorms and that’s a recipe for disaster. Hopefully we’ll get some rain but the lightning can stay away.
Today we’ll be making both a Costco run and a grocery run to stock up for our trip. We would normally do this the day before (tomorrow) but I have the Sporting Clays shoot to attend. (Not hating that
) Leaving Sunday for the grueling 90 minute trip. Weather for the week is looking to be just about perfect, sunny with highs in the upper 70’s and lows in the 50’s. Sure is going to be better than our last trip in the upper 90’s.

this morning. We had some rain last night that came in on a cold front. Below the ridge I live on is the Little Spokane River valley and right now it’s socked in with fog. Hmmmmm as they say…”Winter’s coming”. Great to have rain and for once it was enough to give the ground a good soaking. Maybe a repeat tonight and then a week of mild temps and sunshine.
Today is the charity sporting clays shoot and it’s looking to be just about perfect weather wise for the event.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
We got a good soaking too last night. When I got up to wee, saw we had ground hugging fog above the creek water out back with the moon light shinning on it. Weird but pretty.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
We got about an inch last night. Only supposed to get up to 70 today and mid 70's and 80's until Thursday and then back to the 90's. Need to get some weed eating and spraying done before it gets hot again. Buster has found out the electric fence next to my friend's garden is now hot but am letting them out a little on the other side when I can keep an eye on him, he found out that the fence's electric strands on that side are not hot.
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Good deal on that inch of rain Dave. Hope it went to the fires near Lake Chelan.dave77 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2024 4:20 pmWe got about an inch last night. 53 this morning and currently I’m enjoying a bright red sunrise peeking thru the trees. No local news yet but I believe we should see temps in the 70’s today with sunny skies. This is supposed to continue all week and warming up into the upper 80’s by the weekend. Probably going to be a nice Labor Day weekend. We’re leaving this morning for camp on Lake Roosevelt out of Kettle Falls Wa which is north of me by 60 -70 miles or so. Home on Friday in order to let all the working folks get out and enjoy themselves over the weekend.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
It's 73F here, going to around 80 or so. Another nice day in store.
Coffee is in the Farmall mug.
A batch of hot pepper jam is in the water bath canner. I tried to beat the heat. The sting of the hot peppers is on my lips as I don't wear gloves while processing the hot peppers. When I wash the dishes, after the canner is done, the heat usually is off my hands by then. I chopped this batch vs. almost pureeing the peppers. I think the next batch will be a puree.
Outdoor work is the order of the day around here.
I hope your day is great!

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Woke up to 50 here in camp and heard it’s 40 back at home. Kinda the reverse one would expect. High today here is 78 with sunshine. So today we’re planning on hitting the lake with the dogs and finding a beach to land at and take a swim. Tomorrow it’s supposed to be a bit rainy and windy so the plan is to do some plinking. Our property where I have my little shooting range set up is only about 20 miles from camp. My wife drove her car up here so we can use it to make our trip.

and it was not any fun.

Could have been worse news coop. Glad it is something a surgery can fix. Not fun...but hey...
Good luck getting it set up.
