I've watched the Ducks play some this season, and they've been pretty strong. Interesting on the NCAA bracket I've been using, "Bing" provides a percentage prediction for each game on choice of the winner. Before this KU vs. Duck game, they gave KU only 51% chance of winning. So their "guess" was pretty accurate.

Never any fun having your favorite team go home early, is it?

There really have been a lot of exciting games, right to the last second and this one was no exception.

Watched the NC/KY game as much as I could during the Nascar commercials. Interesting game and a great finish. I was rootin' for NC and was glad to see them win it. Would like to see them win it all.

Yup, and for the first time in their school history.

But Carolina did make them work for it in the second half --- which is why it was a fun game to watch. However, I think that within the last 2-3 minutes of the game, Carolina played almost against themselves. They held the ball much too long and only tried to score mostly w/in the paint. But at that point, with the game at stake, a little speed-up and some three pointers could have done it for them. Not too much different when they came back to tie earlier in the second half.

All around, it was a good game to watch.

TV still sounding away, waiting for Rams vs. Ducks.....should be fun to watch, too.

the Heels move on to the finals but it wasn't pretty .... they will have to play much better to cut down the net

You got that right. Especially 4 missed free throws closing out the battle.....

Yeah, the game was pretty sloppy and they had some good luck on their side here and there.

They are pretty lucky to have won it really, but a win's a win, lol.

Question for you all.

In my opinion, the TV coverage was sub-standard. There was a bunch of times that I was questioning what really happened and why the fouls went the way they did. I first figured that they just don't have enough cameras there, but when there was a question of who had possession near the end, they showed a whole bunch of angles. Same with the announcing, they just didn't let you know what the heck was going on here and there.

I'm more of an NBA fan and more used to their coverage, but is this the norm for College Basketball ?

the play by play seemed OK to me .... the "Color" commentator who is supposed to supply technical detail seemed weak for a college game of that level

I don't know about "sub-standard" coverage Cowboy, but the visual telecast itself was questionable to me -- for this reason. There were a lot of cameras on, lined up along the court floor, flying above and around the playing court, just about everywhere. I wonder how many there actually were? Anyway, the "display" of the game seem to be more highlighted than the plays, what happened, team strategies, etc. The many angles of the possession call toward end of game was an example of the "skill" of the cameras. If I recall correctly, the commentators noted all the angles, too. All I needed was a couple of those replays to easily realize that the UNC player never touched the ball. But I guess the refs on the court needed all those angles to see what they couldn't see from their solitary standing positions on the floor.

It was interesting to me....I thought there might be a little "competition" between the NFL and the NCAA for all the camera work at this Final Four game, especially the "flying" shots. More angles to be played at the Championship!!

the Heels are down 3 at the half .... neither team has played anywhere near their best .... it can most certainly go either way

It seems like they came out faster at the start of the second half. But, unless things change, this may go right down to the wire.

Right, poor shooting on both sides and the officials would call a Foul even if they looked at them funny.

Congrats to the Heels. Glad to see them win it.

one heck of a celebration last night .... 5,000 watched the game on the big screen in "The Dean Dome" .... 55,000 turned out to celebrate on Franklin Street .... the team's plane just landed at RDU and the team's 3 buses should arrive back on campus in about a half hour .... the party will resume in earnest
