Took this a while ago at the range after shooting the Golden Boy .22lr at 50 yards with factory sights.

Always enjoy seeing targets pictured with the rifle that conquered them! Good shooting at 50 yards, and a nice looking Henry to boot.

I also like to shoot mine using iron sights. Did you shoot this target with a rest, or off hand?

I bet there is still room in your gun room or safes....Do you have plans to start raising the centerfire side of the family?

Yes all rimfire Henrys. I have reached what I call critical mass which means if I bring a new rifle home my wife would never notice. I do keep a spreadsheet of all my firearms with pictures and serial numbers. I need to sell a few firearms before buying anymore but I'm in the stage of life where I'm just punching holes in paper and don't really need a centerfire. I feel I'm quite knowledgeable with the rimfire Henrys but am lost when someone talks about the centerfires. That would be my only reason for buying any.

I shot off a bench with sand bags. But as you know, the sight just about covers the target at 50 yards.

I shot off a bench with sand bags. But as you know, the sight just about covers the target at 50 yards.

That is why I like peep and globe sights with a peep insert. You can get inserts made for specific targets at specific distances. They are amazingly accurate but sometimes acquiring the target takes awhile.

I believe that they use "hardened brass" which is the same tensile strength as steel, from what I have read. But the Golden Boy .22 for instance, is the brass plated alloy. Maybe someone else can explain it better. But I think that the butt plate on the Golden Boy is brass.

I think you are right, I just got my new Henry catalog & think I remember seeing "hardened brass" mentioned for some of the rifles.
Anyway they are really nice rifles.
