They always move well in cold weather. We move them around lots all winter.

Yup. I'll see if I can find my 1960's Star Trek cereal bowl and mug. It's around here somewhere. We have the original series on DVD (before digital restoration), and I went with my brother in 1976 to a Trek convention and met Scotty, Sulu and Spock's father (actor Mark Leonard). It was pretty cool! Shatner was the Calgary Stampede parade grand marshal in 2015 here. My wife went to the town of Vulcan Alberta a couple of years ago and saw Leonard Nimoy who was in Calgary for a convention and said he couldn't be here without going to Vulcan! It's a little farm town with a giant statue of the Enterprise in the town square. Haha.

It's another mild - 38* - winter morning, and the sun is trying to make an appearance. We had heavy rain last night, and there is more on the way later, so all the outside jobs will get started just as soon as I finish my tea!

Cool start this am, but 38 and partly cloudy later before the big cool down. Gotta get some more wood split and in the house, along with my other work. Hot tea again !!

Its 25 degrees out right now with snow on the way. Steven's Pass is 15 degrees. In the lowlands we don't often get this cold but the Cascade Mountains gets cold and tons of snow. By January it is common for the pass to have more than 100 inches of snow on the ground. Some years it is twice that deep.

-26F at 5am this morning. Horses are covered in frost. Feeding lots of hay this week. Wind chill -35F weather man says. A couple degrees colder would take all the fun right out of it. Hot tea time! It's my anniversary today. 31 yrs married.

I once heard a guy say he was happily married for 40 years -and that wasn't bad out of 42 years.

Congrats on being together all those years, RR. That is a great achievement and huge blessing nowadays.
I haven't been married to my wife (yes, same woman also) quite as long. When asked how long we've been married, it's most easy to answer, "Not long enough!"

Trust you'll have many more happy years together. Enjoy each other.
