Wife and I went canoeing for a couple of hours this morning around 6:30am. Lake was like glass and nobody out but us and the loons.

High 90's with low 100's coming next week. I can't take being out in the extreme heat for very long anymore. Thankfully my property is in a small canyon so the sun dips down below a nearby hill to the west a couple of hours before it gets dark so I can do my yard work and move sprinklers I set in the morning. Really make a difference, still hot but in the shade so not nearly as hot. I will move some yard sprinklers in the heat of the day but the rainbirds in the pasture run all day.
Kind of sucks in the winter as we also have nearby hills to the east so only get a few hours of sun.

Her Burgman is a 650 cc and if Google did the math right my Milwaukee 108 is 1769.80291 cc.markiver54 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 21, 2022 11:05 amThat Burgman must seem like a child's toy to you Jake.Shakey Jake wrote: ↑Thu Jul 21, 2022 10:04 amRight now it's 84° and no rain in the forecast again. Things are really drying up. It'll probably flood this fall to make up for it. Got the wife's Burgman up and running so now I get the pleasure of taking it to be inspected. She always wrangles me into these things and I try to get her to take charge. She's 10 years my junior and one of these days I'm not going to be around to take care of her crap. It was supposed to be inspected and new tags over a year ago. End of rant....Cooked pancakes, bacon and coffee this morning.

Good morning, and a Happy Fri. to everyone.
A nice 66 here at the moment, but it won't last long headed towards 100.

Predicted only low 90’s today. Mostly cloudy. Taking it easy this morning. Memaw went with Granddaughter for physical and lab work for school. First time she’s had blood work. Should be interesting to hear about when they get back.

Woke up to 57 and overcast. There was a series of thunderstorms that passed well to the south and east of us so we didn’t even hear a thunder clap. High today is supposed to be 88 and I can see blue skies coming. Poor pup ate something that didn’t agree with him so either my wife or myself were up several times last night taking him out to do his business.
4:30 hours on the golf course yesterday in heat that topped out at 95. Man did I suck up the water. (And maybe a gin and tonic or two) Walked the course and while it’s nice and flat it is very long with long distances between the green and the next tee. I’m getting too old for this…

Well, we're home. It was chilly in Iowa this AM with a little light rain. I helped them take down the flag so
the Rally is officially over. Now we're home and in the 90s again. Tanned, sunburned, and tired.
We met some really nice folks and ate some really good food truck food. All in all it was good, but
it is nice to be home.

Fair 70°F 21°C
Humidity 88%
Wind Speed Calm
The calm before the storm as storms are west of us and moving in about noon or so. We need the rain.
Folgers and cookies.
Getting back to normal after the trip but we have another one in two weeks. We will be in Duluth for
four days and then home for one day and off to a Blue Grass Festival for four more days.
The old Winnebago will be getting a work out.

83° and on the way to 100°. Got a little shower sometime in the night....not much, just enough to settle the dust. Cooked bacon, eggs, toast and coffee.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
A late morning guys, been messing with the grandson this AM.
We were finishing up breakfast when his other grandmother showed up.
Gonna be another hot one, but myself and several others are meeting up here shortly.
We're gonna do a little scooter riding, no telling where we'll end up.
Hope you all enjoy your Sat.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Woke up to 53 with sunny skies. Normal temps today and tomorrow then starting Monday the oven heats up. Upper 90’s by the end of the week.
We were planning on going to the local parade and community events today in Deer Park but our pup is having stomach issues with diarrhea and vomiting. We thought he was getting over it but this morning he’s still having diarrhea problems. Don’t think I want to walk him around on a leash in a crowd and try to deal with that.
So we’ll stay home.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Had a good time, rode down and through part of the Shiloh national park to the Tn River. Stopped for some refreshments and the rode farther down the river below Decaturville. Had a couple drinks and a late lunch, then back home. Pretty good ride as long as we were moving.

This was the first stop, only ended up with 3 bikes but oh well we enjoyed it.

Well, the storm fizzled and we didn't get much rain. Maybe .3 of an inch.
We're up for church and brunch. Nothing much planned for today after that.
Everybody stay safe and have a nice day.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
80 already. Supposed to rain all day. Yesterday early morning had high winds and almost constant lightning but only 1/2 inch of rain. Lost power at 6:28 am and finally came back on at 4:16 pm. Thundering again with rain. Hope I don't loose power again as I want to get shelving up behind the going to be reloading bench. Did not have the opportunity to try out the Shockwave yesterday and today isn't happening either with the weather. Costa Rican coffee and donuts for breakfast. Stay safe.
