Tonite we had Coq Au Vin. Wife says it's a classic French dish. Chicken in wine with mushrooms, pearl onions over wide noodles, garnished with bacon. Was really good!
BTW, the name stands for Cock, ( Rooster in Wine ), because.he could no longer perform his duties.
So he got et.

Nothing better than a pot roast or stew with loads of carrots and potatoes. Bread and butter for the gravy, yum yum.

Vaquero, love your dining room table. That pot roast looks fork tender.

Last night we had pork chops on the Weber charcoal grill and Rice Krispy potatoes. I have a pellet grill on the patio and a gas grill in the travel trailer but I really like the taste of steaks and chops grilled on charcoal. Takes longer to get fired up and is messier that the others but it’s worth it.

duly inspired by Randy's pot roast, we prepared our version today .... my wife cooked ours for something over 6 hours in a crock-pot .... the roast was bought on sale at the Willis Kroger .... mighty good eating

Today's menu was Fettuccine Alfredo. Scratch whole wheat fettuccine with sauce from scratch topped with some sautéed shrimp and garlic toast on the side
