Top of the ninth at the moment, Sir Henry, and KC is down 8-3 playing the Orioles in game 2. It looks like no "W" will be hung in the outfield tonight....but I still will watch the bottom of the inning!!

Since you also like the Royals along with your M's, it should be a relaxing and enjoyable series for you to watch next week! ;)
No matter who wins my team will be on the winning side. M's lost last night.

Just finished final game of series this afternoon...Royals hung the center-field "W" again! :)

Game: Royals 6 -- Orioles 3
Series: Royals 2 -- Orioles 1

Heading out for 16-game road trip, starting at the Angels on Tuesday.
Have a great afternoon/evening!

Sixteen games? That is brutal. M's just beat the Angles and went 6-3 on the road.

Speaking of brutal......yes, the Braves lost another one today. The losing streak is now at 5 games and stand at 4 wins and 14 losses for the season. There is quite a bit I would like to say, but there is no need.

Royals are at the Angels tonight, 1st game of 3-game series.
Bottom of the 8th, and LA ahead of KC 6-1.
Guess the time change has tired the Royals out a little.

Speaking of recoveries, the Braves lost a tough one last night, 1-0. The starting pitching was good last night, but I do not believe that the Braves could hit a beach ball right now. Oh well, another game today.

It has to be tough on a pitcher to give up one run and loose. At least his ERA is down.

It is tiring having to say the same thing over and over again, but here goes, the Braves lost another one. For the record, that is 7 in a row. Our Braves team is really endearing itself to the home fans. Their record at home is 1 win and 12 loses. You think attendance might be down a bit?! Oh well, only 142 games left.

West Coast game time got the best of us, and we hit the sack during the 7th inning of KC/LA game #2. Left the Royals in the hole after Angels had a strong 5th inning. KC was up by one in the fifth, but the Angels scored five times with a two-run single and a three-run homer.

Just checked and see it all ended last night with an Angels win of 9-4. They have taken the 1st two games, one to go.
Ah, well....

The Yanks lost big, 10 to 1 to the Rangers. Looks like they will be spending time in last place for a while if they keep playing this way. At least the Phillies are at 500 which is a pleasant surprise, so far, after the way they played last year.

I hate the dang Yanks. Smaller cities can't compete with their high salaries. But I started out loving the Yanks. The first year I followed MLB was in 1961 -The Season of Glory.

Wow! Growing up south of Atlanta, there were no professional baseball teams. The AAA affiliate of the St Louis Cardinals, the Atlanta Crackers, was all we had. Seemed like every Saturday, the Yankees played someone on TV. I fell in love with the Yankees, particularly Whitey Ford. He was the man. Since I was a lefty, I can still remember trying to pitch like him. I can still name the players at each position. But when I put Elston Howard as catcher and Yogi in left field, I get an argument. Fact is, Elston Howard played more games at catcher that year than Yogi, but heck if you can get all nine, including Moose Skowron at first, you do remember the 1961 Yankees.

I have been a fan of them since I was a kid, but like I have said, I also am a Phillies fan. You may hate them, that's ok, I shall try not to mention them any more than I have to.

Being ten years old at the time I mostly remember the battle between the M&M boys.

Giants swept the Padres today.

They're playing better but the bullpen is struggling.
