Our Morning Coffee and Weather

we haven't been there in a while, but I also love the area.
We stayed a a campground right in Rapid City. Took day trips from there.
Mount Rushmore, Deadwood, Devil's Tower, Wall Drug, Bad Lands, and of course,
Custer park.

I grew around Hill City SD and I agree it was the warmest part of the state during the winter. But we got a lot of snow, I remember Friday the 13th in June and we got 10 inches of snow, a few Memorial Days with snow and. Mother’s Day we got 20 inches of snow and few October blizzards. Temps could be mild in winter and I think be a great place to retire if you have a snow blower.

Great sales pitch to potential retirees, “great place to retire if you have a snow blower”. That’s an instant classic, love it!

Yep, I could do fine in the Hill City area. I have a nice line-up of snow management equipment. In all seriousness however I will start watching the Hill City area. We were absolutely floored with the beauty of the area and the people we ran across were great. I’m wondering if it’s somewhat off the radar of the big city migration we are seeing in our area. Love your Governor!

The wife and I have talked about moving also but cant decide. Our home in Colorado is paid for and worth more than I ever thought it would be. I hate the political climate in Colorado but it is what it is. I like Texas but I have roots in AZ as well. Wife likes the water I like the dryer climate in AZ. Blue sky here in NM today currently 51 degrees after an overnight low of 41.

Was about 70° this morning walking the dogs. Right now it's 81°. Had eggs, bacon, toast and coffee this morning. Also had my Moh's surgery this morning to remove a skin cancer. Don't know what it looks like underneath as I'm not supposed to take this bandage off until tomorrow.

Jake, it's anybody's guess what it'll look like. My first thought was a little incision about the size if my fingernail. After I got a good look at it, it is about 2" long. Don't know how deep she dug. Main thing is to get it all. I won't know that for another week.
Fingers, toes, eyes crossed for both of us. Hang tough bud.

Getting ready for when I get the use of my left arm again. Got both chainsaws out today, gas, oil, bar nose. Both cranked right up.
Now to get this 5 lb. weight limit off my left arm...........

its an overcast morning that has already reached 69 on its way to 77 later today .... it showing a 24% chance of rain and all 24% of it is falling right now .. .. that said, my bet is it will only settle the dust for a little while .... eggs, sausage, sliced tomato and Folgers .... watching "Hangman's Knot" made in 1952 staring Randolph Scott and Donna Reed

I think I will jump on the mower and buzz the back yard this morn, I never got a round to it yesterday.

21 heading to 52 today. I like that our high temp is creeping up but the low is staying at a consistent 21. Come on spring! Beautiful blue skies with winds to 4 mph forecast so it’s back to burning today.

Got a guy coming over today to spray the house for bugs and since I’m out of cash for a tip I’m heading up to Deer Park to hit the ATM. Which is located in the same parking lot of a local chain of burger joints called Zips. They serve breakfast and have a fantastic breakfast sandwich, puts a Mickey D’ sandwich to shame. So, being as I’m right there, well you know......

I won't let that stop me from trying out a test load for the Axis 223 later on this morn.
From the back porch, only 50 yards, but it'll give me an idea.

35 and going for a high in the low sixties. Bright sun and little wind.
We could get some snow Sunday night into Monday morning. It is still March.
Folgers and Parnell's Old Folks Sausage with toast and jelly.
Got some shop work to do today but will try to work outside as well.
