What's for supper?

peas are still at the top of the list.

All the farmers around here grow English Peas for the canning companies. The trucks used to haul the vines
to the vinery for processing and we kids could usually grab a bunch off the back of a truck at the stop sign.
I loved sitting in the back yard and eating them as fast as I could shuck them.
Sadly now they have mobile vineries that harvest the peas right in the field.

The wife brought home a couple of Yellow fin Tuna steaks. I would like to cook them on my pellet grill. Anybody have a good reciepe??

I haven't done tuna for a long time now, but here's how I do salmon and lake trout.
First I remove all the dark meat, ( I don't think that's a problem with tuna).
I wrap them in foil topped with salt and pepper, onions, peppers, lemons and butter.
They poach and come out tender and delicious.
For a little of the smoke you unwrap the foil the last few minutes.

Well, not just for supper, but I put a pork shoulder roast in the Instant pot Sun., to make some pulled pork. Came out real tender.
I've been gnawing on ever since. Good stuff. I used a McCormick Pull pork BBQ mix to cook. really good flavor.

Pulled pork is one of my favorites. Buffalo tonight with some coleslaw was pretty darn good.

Carol made those Bang, Bang Shrimp again last night. That's a great recipe.
Along with them she made noodles in a cream sauce.

Coop, I followed your recipe the other nite and the tuna came out pretty good. The wife and I are not big seafood eaters but they were not as bad as tuna in a pouch.
Thanks again for your knowledge and sharing.
Only supposed to get to low 90s this afternoon and the wife pulled a couple of trombone squash this AM. I'm not sure yet on what I'll grill this PM.

Makes a great dinner on a hot day. The other night we had chicken Cesar salad with crusty French bread and it was perfect!

Tonight will be Carol's seafood chowder. It's a creamy textured soup with shrimp, crab, mussels and fish.
Along with crusty French bread I really like it.

Sushi? Did someone say sushi? I'm in. My wife and I can do sushi anytime.

We didn't have sushi but we had a great impromptu dinner of shrimps & garlic, sautéed squash and naan bread for dipping in the shrimp & garlic oil.
