Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
45 this morning with clear skies. Coffee and chocolate chip cookies.
Beautiful day yesterday in the seventies. I ran the leaf blower for about
four hours.
We live deep in an oak forest and I get a lot of leaves. Will finish up today.
There are still some leaves on the trees, but most are down. The rest will be dealt
with in the Spring.
Strange year. Two weeks ago we had several inches of snow and I thought the leaves
would have to wait for Spring. Now it's Fall again for the rest of the week.

44 on its way to 74 today in central NC .... humidity at 100% with a 10% or less chance of rain .... I've already taken our truck to where it will be serviced .... we have it serviced once a year and I never cease to suffer sticker shock at the cost .... bacon, eggs, sliced tomato and plenty of Folgers

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
56, yes I said 56 out there. Just the other day I was commenting that I was sounding like a broken record with daily temps at 26. Our low temp last night will be several degrees warmer that our forecasted highs next week. Crazy.
Very windy today and while I don’t have any broadleaf trees I do have some decorative small trees near the house. Yesterday my wife and I did some what we like to call brutal pruning of her plants and grasses she has planted. With today’s wind I should be able to blow the last of the leaves and pruning bits and pieces onto the lawn and then do one last mow (suck) up. Grass quit growing a few weeks ago.
Supposed to be a windy rainy day so I might just cocoon in the reloading room.

It's warmed back up for a few days, hi's in the 70s, rain maybe for the weekend sometime. I'll take it.

I'm up and coffee. A beautiful warm day ahead... early October weather in November...enjoy while you can. I saw a stud of a buck wander across the field yesterday While I was setting a corner post... gun season opens here the 14th... nice to know there are big ones out there...it helps when you are sitting on the stand seeing nothing and hearing the neighbors all around shoot...
Well, .... it helps a little....

45 this morning with clear skies heading for the seventies.
Supposed to stay this way until Monday. Then we go back to normal.
Rain and cold.
Don't care now. Got all the leaves blown and everything is winterized. Now I can play in my heated shop.
Have to go up and make coffee soon. Just got up.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
46 now after a night of rain. Looking at a few nice days then cold and maybe some light snow next week. Almost done with my fall projects, got more done yesterday that I expected since the rain held off until late.
Folgers in the mug for now with breakfast on the horizon.
OH, forgot to mention, my Covid test came back yesterday and is negative.....
My neighbor who was my source of exposure is very sick as is his wife. So thankful I’m negative.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
It rained all day yesterday so I took the legs off an old kitchen table and put the top on two bistro tables. The top is at a slight angle and this makes the perfect standing desk. The carpet is so screws and things don’t roll off.
This is really an ugly table but it’s the perfect size for this room.

31 with a starry sky so I guess I can assume I will see some sun today.
Meeting up with a guy today to possibly sell him my Browning BT-99 trap shotgun. That’s the easy part, the hard part is what do I re-invest the funds into.......
Enjoying my coffee and the first fire in the stove for several days. Been too warm for a fire.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Coffee with banana bread this morning.
60s and going into 70s today with sun and wind.
Monday will bring cold wet weather. It's been a nice stretch of Indian Summer, but it's about to end.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Another great sunny day ahead and headed to the range to finish up some things. Want to get back to more shooting before rainy weather moves in Wednesday. Don't need anymore rain down there!

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
It’s always nice to have cash laying around. I sometimes take cash out of the bank and put it in a drawer. Then months later I’ll take it out and add it up. It’s how I’m paying for a new work table.Hatchdog wrote: ↑Sat Nov 07, 2020 9:21 am31 with a starry sky so I guess I can assume I will see some sun today.![]()
