Re: .357 Carbine shooting results
Nice to get the 357 dialed in. I too put on a skinner sight and front post as well and had improved results with my Henry. Had the best grouping with Barnes Pioneer 357 180grn rounds. I'll pick up more as I see them or when I make an order. At the cost thought I'll be using them for hunting only.
Keep having fun with your Henry!

Re: .357 Carbine shooting results
What is your technique in drifting the front sights in and out. Did you have to ‘dress up’ the bottom of the skinner sight at all? Did the Henry sight drift out easily?
Any info would be appreciated.

This is what I use for adjusting or changing sights.pennsylvaniapete wrote: ↑Mon Apr 29, 2024 11:02 amWhat is your technique in drifting the front sights in and out. Did you have to ‘dress up’ the bottom of the skinner sight at all? Did the Henry sight drift out easily?

I'd be happy with those results at 25 yards. Ya did good.
Re: .357 Carbine shooting results
Very nice shooting, and that should put you pretty much at point blank on a baseball size target all the way out to almost 100 yards.
I had a receiver mount Skinner on my Big Boy, but the front sight was way too short. Good job getting yours sorted out.
