I'm still playing around with the tang on my 1885. They are a little tricky it seems. Yours looks good, best of luck with it.

Liking it Al, wish I had of discovered it long ago. I was surprised by the light recoil, totally unexpected.
Those 250 gr xtp's I loaded the other had more recoil in either rifle, than anything I've loaded and shot in this rifle.

I pretty much just bottomed out this sight while I was cleaning it up, just to see where it's at...

Yup thats one of the things I like about but it still has the knock down power. I read an article one time about recoil in rifles and energy foot pounds of recoil. 38-55 is one of the lowest.
