I like the other picture better but only because the lines of the fence competes with the rifle.
you mean my avatar? or the photos themselves? The fence is a problem for sure....it's all my wife's fault, at least that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

...I'll keep on searching for a better pic with an actual Henry in it!

I had rather liked the new one. Perhaps you will have success with a search for another one.

RR, I really enjoy your pictures, very cool!
Hope you're not near the fires I've been seeing in the news!

Thks. The fire is about 10 hour drive north, so ok here. I'm in the southwest corner of Alberta, about 45 min to Montana.

Sweet collection Squatch. The wood on the Golden Boy is gorgeous. Glad to see how that leather looks on your Big Boy, I just ordered one for mine from the same place. Sweet! Thanks for the cool pics.

To round out that centerfire Henry collection, Squatch, all you need is a Long Ranger(your choice of caliber), and an Original Henry (maybe the iron-framed version). ;)

A couple of more stumps, and we'll get some good picture views!! :) Thanks for posting those good photos.

Great pictures. Love the glossy stock on the Golden Boy.

Thanks folks. PT7 I'm not a collector just a shooter. I think the collection is complete. I don't have the eyes for a long ranger and wish to stay with straight wall cases for reloading. The only long gun I really desire at this point is a Sharps 45/70 falling block. I'm in no rush for that. I'm all about dialing in my rifles exactly the way I want them with sights ect. Not finished doing that with the ones I have. More rifles just means that many more I can't get to.

All my Henry's have nice wood but the Golden Boy is exceptional. A little polishing compound and some wax really brings it out.

I'd have a hard time putting a stock cover on that one.

The Big Boy has also received the gloss treatment. but most of it is covered by the leather.

The 45/70 has nice wood also especially on the left side. It will eventually get glossed and probably a cover as well.

I went shopping for a lever gun. Had my hands on a Rossi 92 when I spotted this Henry Steel in .45 colt. I recounted my money and have no regrets.

RanchRoper that is a great picture of you shooting. I like the dark vignette around the edges.
