Put a pinch of salt in scale pan after balancing it.

Am I reading 3 grains? Anybody use tjis Lee scale? I have a digital one coming as well.

Nope I see it now. Ball on 10, plus 3 grains = 13. Think that's right.

Well after weighing salt or pepper with this scale, gunpowder must be really light. 6 or 7 grains of pepper is hardly anything. Unless I am missing something.

can't help you with the scale but have very little doubt that's an area where you will soon be spending some quality time ..

7000 grains = 1 pound. Very different than grams. Wait until you play with TrailBoss powder, its fluffy donuts.

Think I figured it out. Ball on left side goes 10 grain increments. Then slide on right side adds grains 0 thru 10. Fine markings on slide are decimal marks for exact measure. See how digital compares the weights this week. The nice part is once I set the auto drum powder measure on the turret press I can check charges every 5 or so and see how consistent it is.

I use mine all the time. I’ll try to get some pics this weekend. One trick I learned is to put a small magnet or even an Allen wrench under the pan. It will settle in a couple of seconds.

By next weekend I should be reloading. Will do a dozen rounds then go shoot them. See what's what. Put a few thru pistol at 25 yds then rifle at 50.

Reloading corner..

Great picture of the reloading corner.. I'm excited for ya! I bought the same kit and have the same set-up (except for the stand, which looks great!)
The only thing that I did not like was the safety primer device. I found that it often dropped the primers on the floor instead of snapping them into the primer cup. I took it off and I just place the primers in the primer cup by hand, it doesn't really slow things down, and I got tired of trying to search for primers on the floor. As far as the Lee powder dispenser goes, some of the powders that I was using were fine enough that the powder would leak out through the seams of the dispenser and kind of make a mess. So, my son took it and uses it on his press and loves it. The balance beam scale works good but a digital scale is much faster.. I actually moved onto a RCBS auto-dispenser which is really fast. There are a few good u-tube videos on using the scale if anything is confusing about it.

I have concerns about the auto primer loader too. Seems a little flimsy.
