In spite of all the pink uniforms on the Cleveland field this afternoon, the Royals could not come through with a "W" for their Moms. :(

Indians won 5-4, and took the 3-game series 2-1.
The field was very bright and sunny in Cleveland, which was a good thing; enough rain here in KCMO the game might not have been played.

Next stop for Royals will be a 4-game series in NY against the Yankees.
Have a great rest of the day!

Watched the post game reviews after the Royals lost the second game of four to the Yankees. Dutch is right, "...the Yankees won for a change." The KC commentators are now commiserating the fact that the Royals are not "working on all cylinders" so far this season.

Starting this series, KC had 15 wins & 15 losses, 2nd spot to the cellar in the ALC. NYY started series in their ALE cellar with 11 wins & 18 losses.
But Yankees are ahead in this current series 2-0. Wonder which team might move up by the end of week?!? ;)

That would be a tough one to call but my heart wants KC to pick up the pace.

And the M's are in first right now in the ALW, 1-1/2 games ahead of TX. Not bad, not bad. ;)

KC had a rough road trip -- the NYY won tonight, and took the four-game series 3 to 1.
Heading home tonight. Host the Braves for a three-game weekend series.

I was hoping the M's would have at least a winning season and their success has proven they have the ability. But its a long season and last year they lead early in the season only to start dropping down and by the time the All-Star game they were well below 500. Its odd because this year their first homestand they were losing bad and looked like a bunch of Little Leaguers. It wasn't just bad pitching and not getting hits. Their infield and outfield plays were hesitant and they often caught the ball on the bounce instead of trying for it.

KC won the weekend series from Atlanta....but it took some doing! Game just ended after playing for almost 4 hours & 40 minutes, 13 full innings.
Morales hit a 2-run walk-off homer with 2 outs, and Royals posted a "W" in center field. :D
Good way to return home after a long road trip.
Three-game series with Red Sox starts at home tomorrow.

Boy, do I need a 13th-inning stretch!!

Well, been gone a few days. Just a bit under the weather, but much better now. Wish the same could be said about the Braves! We are still the only team in both leagues that has yet to achieve 10 wins. I believe that pretty much sums up the Braves. Glad to be back.
