Mid 60 's here this morning. Headed for the mid 80 's. Humidity about the same as the temp. It's gonna be sticky out there for sure. We got 2 inches of rain yesterday evening. The drought is breaking ! Coffee is brewing. Be heading out to haul cattle and work at the Stockyards as it is auction day. Good day to all.

Weather folk up here haven't said yet that our drought is diminishing. Still, am most grateful for the recent 6/10" rain water captured in my gauge on Tuesday morning last. Always looking for more.

Sure do get it about "humid, humid, humid." One slight difference here in the Northland. Temps today will be in low to mid 90s.

Too many folk in my part of the country, including myself, talk a lot about this drought and blistering summer weather. Yeah, the "talk" reaches the complaining point, too.

I am very much looking forward to fall weather this year, and will be very glad to shut up, too!!

What a surprise on the weather though about an hour ago. I was in the kitchen facing the patio window slider, and saw huge raindrops falling in the bright sunshine. Decided to look for the promise in the rainbow, and found it once again! The sun kept on shining, then there was thunder and that dark cloud directly overhead opened up big time. It rained maybe 20 minutes, and then drifted away toward the east. Left behind a welcome 6/10" rain water in the gauge, just like the earlier rain this week. Hurrah! Over an inch rain in one week is pretty amazing news for the Northland! I'm grinning tonight. PT7

Last time I looked out the slider like that golf balls were falling and destroying my roof. Glad the vehicles were in the garage. Gotta love that hail.

Plenty of my state in drought and as of Wednesday the entire state has been drought declared.
We had 1.25" last Friday night another 3/4" Monday night along with 2" snow, looking at around 16" for the year so far. In a normal year we would be well over 30" by now.

Been a long, hot, dry summer in KC. Nearing mid-90s today and tomorrow, but then a multi-day rain event coming mid-next-week, or so they say.

Have this HUGE cottonwood in my backyard. Great shade, but must be one of the dirtiest trees in North America. Leaves started dropping in late June and the rain of twigs is non-stop now, too.

RR you better be careful for what you wish for. You might get more snow this year than you have ever had before. Nice hear today headed for 90 and no hail balls in the forecast. Roof is a total loss. Twice in 5 years. At least I dont need to worry about doing it out of pocket. But Im sure the house rates will go up. Gotta love those insurance companies.

64'F currently at 9am. Getting a break from the 98-100 we've been having. Going to be much cooler today, mid 70's with maybe a bit of rain mid-afternoon.
The high temps we had weren't so bad, low humidity and hazy from smoke lessened the 'feel' intensity.

It's been high 90's up to 105 here. Been pretty smokey here too, several fires close by but they say a lot of it is coming up from the California fires. Getting a couple of days of mid-80's and then back to the 90's.

I'm ready for some Autumn weather.

Thanks mate, we aren't looking to bad for a spring, another 3/4" and a little snow last night and 1/2" Wednesday.
Just need to make it through the next month to 6 weeks until we start getting some growth.
Currently 33 going for a top of 41
