We may occasionally get Vidalias but being in Washington State, Walla Walla Sweets are more more common.

Walla Walla sweets are the best. I think there better than the Vidalias by a long ways. We rarely see them here anymore. I wish I could get them. They are great on Bacon lettuce tomato and yes onion sandwiches.

I'd never heard of Walla Walla Sweets until a year or so ago .... tried them last summer while we were in South Dakota .... they are good but if I had to pick between the two, I'd still have to go with Vidalia ..

... a thick slice of a Vidalia between a couple of slices of bread with Mayo, is mighty good all on its own

I thought I was the only one.
My wife gives me a hard time about an onion sammich for lunch, but it's a lot less calories than the two inch thick monster she's eating.

I love em, and I like tomato sammiches, and crisp cuke ones too.

I do like sweet onions but have to admit I've never tried an onion only sandwich.
