Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
This morning awoke to 24 degrees and 4 inches of new snow and with 9 more inches expected by night fall. I checked we have 15 inches and thw national weather services said we could get 10 -14 inches by Monday night. I set and drank 3 mugs of coffee and watch the snow fall.

Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
last night heavy storms, including a tornado, moved through just west of us .... we got rain and some wind but no power outages in our area .... sitting here watching the news coverage while sipping a cup of coffee, one can't help but realize how very lucky we were ....

Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
I'll second that. We got heavy wind and rain, sound and light show well into the night, but never lost power. A blessing since the whole house genny is still awaiting a part. Lol. Never give it a thought til you need it... then you are SO thankful it's there.
Calling for high sixties today, and moderate chance of rain.
Coffee is good.

Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
Glad you're both "sipping and enjoying" coffee this morning after your bout with the storms. You echoed what I shared last Saturday morning here. I felt the same relief after Friday night's storms and tornado watches. My sigh was "Thankfully, nothing serious came about in our area". Sadly, just south of us in AR they did not fare so well. I guess what rummaged through KCMO did repeat in your areas, as often happens with our Midwest weather. Sorry about that, Guys.
After our tornado season opened this weekend, even the weather reporters said to "hang in there and look forward to the end of this type of weather --- possibly by close of June!" Seems like a long time from now; a little like waiting for winter to end.
Just finished my first cup of double mocha in my Henry mug. Tasted good, so a second cup sounds in order!
Have a good day, Everybody!

Thanks, we are thankful and feel blessed. A friend of our daughter's in OK had a tornado suck up her fences and run ins a couple weeks ago, and last night that house was flattened a couple counties over from us.

Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
Supposed to be a very nice day today. It's already forty three degrees, and the weather guessers have promised another thirty degrees for a high of seventy three. Zero percent chance of rain.
Coffee is hot, and we have too key meetings today. Praying they both go well.
Up at zero dark thirty yesterday... four forty five, out the door by five fifteen so I could reach the VA parking lot by six thirty. I had an eight a.m. dental appointment. Parking... is a major problem there. I try and schedule ALL my appointments at eight, and if I have more than one... stack them starting at eight and bring a book. By seven, the handicapped spots are full. By seven thirty, the lot is full and the grass medians are filling up.
I was out by nine oh five and headed home.

Started out at 29 deg but warmed up pretty good, and the wind isn’t blowing surprise ! Busy morning finally got the barn clean and am now waiting for the Ewe’s to start lambing in about a week or two. Hope the weather holds it makes for a much nicer lambing season when you don’t have to wade around in the snow or rain.

Good luck RR.

Coffee with plain Jane this morning.
A little outside time is coming up.

Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
Forty eight at seven thirty a.m. and lookin for a high of seventy.
We may be looking at spring. All our landscaping is starting to pop.
The generator guy was out Friday, put in the new part and performed the preventive maintenance.
We are now under contract again for semi-annual care. Total damage? $859.
Not great, but not too bad...
We can rest easy again, if the summer storms knock down a tree, and down a power line...
... we will have ac and the well pump, will still pump.

Wow! We are getting some rare sunny and warmer weather for April. Supposedly going to make 80' by mid week. Usually rainy/misty Tualatin Valley OR.

50's today. The coming week should see some high 60's. Nice. No riding on the weekend, have to let the ground dry up some in the pens. Can't risk a horse slipping in mud and injured tendons or muscles. I was tempted, but just not worth it yet. Soon enough.

Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
Today, the temp should be starting with a 6. A 30 degree spread as it is 31 f now. The weekend was beautiful. 5 - 10 degrees over prediction and cloudless. We took a bike ride. A very expensive bike ride. (We stopped at a favorite antique store) I bought her a stained glass floor lamp and a stained glass table lamp. I got some diecast fire trucks. We both got exercise.
Coffee in the NRA mug. Enjoy your day. Spring has finally sprung here.

Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
Most of this week is predicted to bring sunshine and temps in the lower 70s. Yes, spring has sprung here in the MO Northland!
Enjoying my double mocha for the first time today in my wife's coffee mug. Before she lost her writing ability due to the PD, she was the budget manager and writer of the checks each month. I always appreciated that. Now that I'm the one to get the checkbook out-of-balance,
I decided to use her mug. We always gave names to different things we used in the home after the kids all left. So I've named it my "Memory Mug."
Coffee tastes good. Writing out the checks for the "stupid bills" is still a mega drag!
Have a great day.
