I watched a John Ford film starring John Wayne called The Three Godfathers on TMC On-Demand today.
It's a loose allegory of the Christmas story with a little of Genesis/Exodus mixed into a typical western morality play. It's not your average western, but it was, for me, total enjoyment.

It's one of the Christmas movies we watch every December. Excellent film, one of Ford's best in my opinion.

You should read " Dobie" Carey's book COMPANY OF HEROES. You will like it as there is a lot of info about making all of the John Ford westerns.
